this was february 1 – 13, 2014.
what happened? we ate at a mongolian barbecue with friends. a friend came home after 6 months abroad. i drove home for the weekend because i had to install all tech gadgets my sister got for her business. filou (or “the baby”, my cat at home) completely ignored me but came by for some treats. my sister dyed my hair – now they are mocha blond with a few blond highlights. family lunch at another monglian barbecue. my brother built our cocktail shelf and i finally got a photo of my dad with his new glasses (it’s a little bit blurry but i love it).
i mainly used the studio calico copper mountain project life kit. the meal stamp is from the kelly purkey foodie stamp set. the other half of the “what i love most about …” card i used as part of the background for my instax. therefore i used the kelly purkey chevron die on the remaining 3×4 card and then adjusted it.

this was january 19 – 31, 2014.
what happened? we finally had some snow in linz – only for a few days and only one month too late. i enlarged the photo and used the kelly purkey “winter is here” stamp on it. k’s aunt had a 50s party and i took some instax photos for the guestbook. the problem with instax photos is that you have them only once. so i took a photo of the photo hence i have one for project life. the “xoxo”-flag is from the studio calico cuppa project life kit. the grey stripped journal card with the quote on it is from the studio calico copper mountain project life kit and the 4×6 journal card is from the sunshine edition.
we’re completely into breaking bad – so i had to include a picture of the seasons we already have (photo is processed with the waterlogue app). also i have found a few new cocktails therefore i included the recipe of my new favorite (called vanity). the ampersand card is from life-love-paper and was included in the studio calico blue note project life kit. the grid cards are from the sunshine edition. the “jan 2014” vellum sticker is also from life-love-paper and was part of the sc copper mountain kit.

so this was january 1-18, 2014. i got a gallery wall and my new iphone 5s. we also got our mason shaker and now i just want to mix cocktails/mocktails every evening. it’s unbelievable how many pretty bottels you can find in a liquor store. i want to buy them all because they are so pretty – who cares how they actually taste?
i still love the look of a movie poster in combination with my ticket (doing it this way since 2011).
i used the studio calico copper mountain project life kit for this spread and my typewriter. one “journal card” is a piece of scrap from my brushscript practice. all photos are printed at home and taken with my iphone 5s.
yesterday evening i made my first title page in advance. usually i do them at the end of the year (i’m a project lifer since 2011). i wanted something special, something different but then i just wanted to have it done. so it’s very simple but i really like it.
i mainly used the title cards from the midnight edition. the wood veneer letters (+ heart) are from the studio calico project life copper mountain kit. the people and “2014” is stamped with amy tangerine stamps. i also included a quote from pinterest. the card right from the instax says “27 + engaged.”
the other day i posted some project life spreads via instagram including my spread for december 4-8 – our new york shopping trip. this was my last spread for 2013. the quality is not that good, sorry. i work fulltime so the only available time to shoot some pictures (with my iphone 5s) is in the morning before leaving for work. but you get an idea and that’s all that counts, right?
i included some journaling on the photos, a flyer from macy’s and our hotel keycard. we stayed at the ace hotel (scored a pretty good deal) and it was just awesome. the skyline is a kelly purkey die.
i used some paper from the lawn fawn peace love joy 6×6 paper pad and a few bits and pieces from various studio calico project life kits.
(for the rest of my new york photos i will make a blurb photobook.)
1. Word. Learned that lesson last year.
2. Absolutely in love with my Mason Shaker (ordered via fab). Already building up my home bar. Unbelievable how many pretty bottles are out there. Want to buy everything.
3. Totally want a few things of the CHA releases – pinned them all on my Pinterest Wishlist.
4. Love the Studio Calico life|scripted class … don’t know if I should participate. It looks so awesome.
5. Found the perfect calendar for my project life album 2014 here. Just print in 3×4.
When you are following me on Instagram (@thatsmybubble) you have probably seen my attempts in hand lettering. I really love the stlye of Kal Barteski but haven’t bought something because shipping to Austria isn’t that affordable. Now Kal Barteski is teaching the Studio Calico February Class life|scripted and I’m not sure if I should jump in and participate.
I wanted to get a feeling of writing with a brush, so I used what I already had (acrylic paint and different brushes. As you can see, the result wasn’t that smooth.
The next day I bought some india ink … and what can I say? It’s already framed.
