this was february 1 – 13, 2014.
what happened? we ate at a mongolian barbecue with friends. a friend came home after 6 months abroad. i drove home for the weekend because i had to install all tech gadgets my sister got for her business. filou (or “the baby”, my cat at home) completely ignored me but came by for some treats. my sister dyed my hair – now they are mocha blond with a few blond highlights. family lunch at another monglian barbecue. my brother built our cocktail shelf and i finally got a photo of my dad with his new glasses (it’s a little bit blurry but i love it).
i mainly used the studio calico copper mountain project life kit. the meal stamp is from the kelly purkey foodie stamp set. the other half of the “what i love most about …” card i used as part of the background for my instax. therefore i used the kelly purkey chevron die on the remaining 3×4 card and then adjusted it.
shared via project life tuesday.
valentin’s day is just around the corner and i’m completely into brush script … i wanted to combine both and so i designed a few 3×4 journal cards for my project life album. i like how they turned out and maybe you like them too.
you can choose between 6 different designs (all 3×4). you can download only single journal cards (jpg-file will open – just right click and save the image) or all of them (zip-file).
i would love to see how you use them, so please share on instagram and tag me (@thatsmybubble).

so this was january 1-18, 2014. i got a gallery wall and my new iphone 5s. we also got our mason shaker and now i just want to mix cocktails/mocktails every evening. it’s unbelievable how many pretty bottels you can find in a liquor store. i want to buy them all because they are so pretty – who cares how they actually taste?
i still love the look of a movie poster in combination with my ticket (doing it this way since 2011).
i used the studio calico copper mountain project life kit for this spread and my typewriter. one “journal card” is a piece of scrap from my brushscript practice. all photos are printed at home and taken with my iphone 5s.
When you are following me on Instagram (@thatsmybubble) you have probably seen my attempts in hand lettering. I really love the stlye of Kal Barteski but haven’t bought something because shipping to Austria isn’t that affordable. Now Kal Barteski is teaching the Studio Calico February Class life|scripted and I’m not sure if I should jump in and participate.
I wanted to get a feeling of writing with a brush, so I used what I already had (acrylic paint and different brushes. As you can see, the result wasn’t that smooth.
The next day I bought some india ink … and what can I say? It’s already framed.
